Gregg Hurwitz-"Trust No One"-Great read.Full of twist and turns. You can truely trust no one!

Linda Howard-"Prey"-Love Linda (Alabama Gal!!)-Caught in a snow storm with a killer and a man eating bear! Can it get any worse?

William Kent Krueger-"NOrthwest Angle"- This is the first book I've read by Mr. Krueger but it won't be my last! Left me wanting to go back and read all his prior works.

  3. Hey! Sorry haven't been here this year!!!
Will catch you up on what I've been reading.
"Killing Lincoln"-Bill O'Reily-Don't miss reading this book because of th author. It is a great read. Gets you inside the minds of all the major players in the assasination. If you love history you will love this book.

"The Litigators"- John Grisham- Am a big Grisham fan but this was not my favorite book. I was more interested in the subplot about the child and trying to find out who produced the toy that made him sick. The main law firm and partners weren't as interesting to me.

"Vigilante"- Stephan J Cannell- I had the pleasure of meeting Mr Cannell several years ago and he was a truly a klind, interesting gentleman. He passed away last year and this is his last novel. I will greatly miss Shane Scully and his adventures with the LAPD. In this last one he will risk his life and career tryiong to fine who killed Lita Mendez. She was a thorn in the LAPD's side. Was it one of their own that is the killer?

"Unbroken"-Laura Hillenbrand-I made a resolution to reas more non fiction this year and so glad I did. After reading the story of Louis Zamperini I should be kicked for ever complaining about anything again. This man survived a plane crash, many months on a raft at sea & a Japanese concentration camp and never lost his spirit. It is a heartbreaking, inspirational story you shouldn't miss.

"Kill Shot"- Vince Flynn- Mitch Rapp is slowing hunting down and eliminating the Pan Am Lockerbie conspiritors. But is the CIA's new secret weapon in over his head this time. He is wounded and cornered and you don't want to cross his path when Mitch is either!!!

"The Drop" Michael Connelly- Is this Harry Bosch's last case? He is up to his eyes in 2 cases. One a 15 years old serial killer that may have appeared again the other a ploitical conspiracy. Who are the bad guys. The guys he has worked with all these years?? Can he trust his partner? Is it time for him to hang it up??

A friend has told me for years that I should read John Sandford. I finally took his advise and loved it. I have read two. One a stand alone. "Death Watch".A former US Senator is missing. Did he leave on his own or had he been kidnapped. It is Jacob Winters job to find out. Does the clues lead all the way to the top of gov't both the states and nations?? It will keep you guessing till the end. The other was a Lucas Davenport book, "Chosen Prey". A hillside of dead young women. What did they have in common? Who is the killer? Lucas explores the art world trying to find the answer. Have a couple more on the shelf and will be reading more very soon.

"Explosive Eighteen"-Janet Evanovich-I wait anxiously for the next Stephanie Plum book. This is my guilty pleasure escape. Stephanie has been to Hawaii. But what happened there? Did she get married? Why is she avoiding both Joe and Ranger? Read and find out. It's a hoot(as usual)!!!

"A Devil is Waiting"-Jack Higgins- The US President is coming to London. Who is trying to kill him? Who is after not only the President but also all of the Ferguson team. Only Sean Dillon andthe gang can solve this one.

In February the friend of the library had its annual "Murder on the Menu" event. I discovered some new author friends and have really enjoyed reading their books. A few are as follows: "Maze in Blue"-Debra Goldstein- murder on a college campus. "Desert Run"-Betty Webb. "Dead Mans Switch"-Tammy Kaehler-murder in the racing world. A gal after my own heart. I love racing! "Nazareth Child"-Darrell James.Who is Del Shannon? Where did she come from? The answers are in Nazareth Church.

That's all for now. Tell me what you are reading!! Come on share!!
